3 U.S. Athletes Win Masters' Titles

U.S. athlete Jimmy Siemers won his third career Masters' men's tricks title.

U.S. athletes Andrew Adkison, Freddy Krueger and Jimmy Siemers won titles in respective events at the 50th Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament, May 23-24, at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga.

Krueger, of Winter Garden, Fla., won the men's jumping title for the fifth consecutive time and eighth time in his career, leaping 231 feet. Great Britain's Jason Seels finished second with a 224-foot leap and Canada's Jaret Llewellyn was third with a jump of 223 feet.

Siemers, of Chandler, Ariz., won his second consecutive and third career Masters' men's tricks title, scoring 11,590 points. Belarus' Oleg Deviatovski and Aliaksei Zharnasek finished second and third, respectively, scoring 11,040 points and 10,090 points.

Adkison, of Windermere, Fla., won the men's wakeboarding title, scoring 61.00 points. U.S. athlete Phillip Soven finished second with 59.67 points and Canada's Rusty Malinoski was third with 58.33 points.


Great Britain's Will Asher won his second consecutive and third career Masters' men's slalom title, scoring 2 buoys at 41 feet off. U.S. athlete Chris Parrish finished second with 3-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off, followed by U.S. athletes Jamie Beauchesne and Chris Rossi, who each scored 3 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off.

Australia's Karina Nowlan won the women's slalom title, scoring 3 buoys at 38 feet off. U.S. athlete Jill Knutson finished second, scoring 2 buoys at 38 feet off. Canada's Whitney McClintock finished fourth with 1-1/2 buoys at 38 feet off.

McClintock won the women's tricks title, scoring 8,250 points. Belarus' Natalia Berdnikova finished second with 8,110 points and U.S. athlete Alex Lauretano was third with 7,600 points.

Denmark's June Fladborg won the women's jumping title, jumping 172 feet. Greece's Marie Vympranietsova finished second with a 172-foot jump and Greece's Angeliki Andriopoulou was third with a 158-foot jump.

Great Britain's Nicola Butler won the women's wakeboarding title, scoring 69.33 points. U.S. athlete Dallas Friday finished second with 64.67 points and Australia’s Amber Wing was third with 53.33 points.
