U.S. Junior Water Ski Team Selected

Lauren Morgan was one of four athletes selected to the 2009 U.S. Junior Water Ski Team.

The 2009 U.S. Junior Water Ski Team was selected on Saturday following the conclusion of the U.S. Junior Water Ski Team Trials at the Cory Pickos Ski & Wakeboard School in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

The team, which will compete in the 2009 Can Am Challenge, Sept. 4-6, in Jerseyville, Ill., was selected by the American Water Ski Association's International Activities Committee following the conclusion of the two-round team trials.

Athletes selected to the team were: Steven Brooks (Canyon Lake, Calif.), Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.), Haywood McDonald (Fayetteville, N.C.) and Lauren Morgan (Odessa, Fla.).

Selected as non-traveling alternates were (alphabetical order): Makayla Haw (San Mateo, Calif.), Alison Lindy (Circle Pines, Minn.) and Kara McIntyre (Knoxville, Tenn.).

The American Water Ski Association is one of nine sport divisions of USA Water Ski, the national governing body of organized water skiing in the United States.
