USA Water Ski has selected Craig Timm (Center City, Minn.) and Jessica Radmilovic (Pine Grove, Calif.) as its Male and Female Athletes of the Month, respectively, for September. The U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team was selected team of the month. Timm, Radmilovic and the U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team are now eligible for the United States Olympic Committee’s Athlete and Team of the Month honors.
Timm, who competes in the men’s arm amputee division, won gold medals in slalom, jumping and overall, and the silver medal in tricks at the 9th Disabled Water Ski World Championships, Sept. 3-6, in Vichy, France. Timm also finished second among all male competitors in overall scoring. His gold medal in jumping came on a 108-foot (32.8 meters) effort, a new world record. It eclipsed the former world record of 107 feet (32.5 meters) set 20 years ago by Australia's Geoff Burgess. Timm’s scores also helped the U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team win the overall team gold medal for a record fifth time at the biennial event.
Timm also set three pending world records at the Island Lake 2 Round tournament, Sept. 12-13, at Trophy Lake Estates in Center City, Minn. Timm scored 3-1/2 buoys at 22 feet off (36 mph) in round one of slalom, and 4-1/2 buoys at 22 feet off in rounds two and three. In round two of jumping, Timm leaped 109 feet (33.3 meters).

She also finished third among all female competitors in overall scoring. She set a pending world tricks record of 820 points in winning the women's MP2 tricks gold medal. Radmilovic’s scores also helped the U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team win the overall team gold medal for a record fifth time at the biennial event.
